We are a dozen organisations that work together to create regional large scale food production systems in Sweden. Today we know that the individual steps in a circular food production system work well. Now we are collaborating on the work of integrating these steps into functional circular nutrient loops.

The food production supply chain is the world's most complex supply chain. Today it is very linear. To convert this linear system to a circular system is challenging in many ways. Laws and regulations are not adapted to circular systems. Established companies are challenged by existing large investments in linear production systems. A lot of externalities, effects on the natural environment are not included in economic calculations. The list is long.
